[Sticky] We moved for a shorter commute.. it changed our lives
Up until the beginning of this year, I would spend at least 45 minutes one way on a good day getting to work. The commute was insane as everyone headed south to the suburbs during the evening rush to get home. It would take me at least an hour most nights to get home. The same was true for my husband.
We decided we wanted to live closer to work. We still live in the suburbs, but my commute is now 20 minutes. That extra 25-40 minutes of freedom and daylight is priceless. We have more time to do things we enjoy and dinner isn't so late anymore. There's less wear and tear on the vehicles and we pay less for gas. It's even better when we carpool.
